Roarin' Tyler the Playful Tiger is an electronic toy tiger cub added to the FurReal line of toys in 2017 alongside Roarin' Ivory the Playful Tiger, a functionally identical white variant of the same toy. The toy features touch and audio capabilities. Included with the toy is a small plastic feeding accessory in the shape of a chicken. In 2019, a nearly identical variant of the toy was released under the name Mighty Roar Simba, and was modeled after the character from Disney's 2019 film The Lion King.
Roarin' Tyler features touch sensors on its back, forehead, and muzzle, as well as a microphone between its eyes. There is a button inside the toy's mouth that detects the presence of the included feeding accessory. The toy's back legs do not move independently but may be posed by the user.
Activating the touch sensors on the toy's back and forehead cause the toy to move its head, ears, eyes, tail, mouth, and front legs, in addition to making a variety of sounds. Activating the button inside the toy's mouth (either by inserting the included accessory or by using another similarly sized object) causes the toy to move its head and mouth and make growling noises.
The toy is also able to respond to auditory cues via the use of the embedded microphone, and will respond to roaring sounds made by the user with roaring sounds of its own.
A white tiger cub variant of the same toy was released under the name Roarin' Ivory the Playful Tiger. The toy is functionally identical to the original and differs only in its coloration. The toy's food accessory also features different coloration from the original, and is pink and purple instead of the original yellow and orange.
